Technology Development Program Intern

What I liked

Great mentoring, worthwhile projects, community involvement emphasized, intern events were a lot of fun

What I wish was different

Transition out of internship could be a little more efficient in terms of talking about steps for returning and getting paperwork done.

Advice

You won't know the answer to something if you won't ask, so talk to whoever you can and ask all the "stupid" questions you want because you can get away with that as an intern.

What I liked

I really enjoyed the friendly environment. Everyone was very easy to talk to and always open to answering questions. Being able to ask questions without hesitation helped to grow my confidence over the course of a summer.

What I wish was different

AT&T gave us executive mentors to work with on getting a deeper understanding of the company as a whole. I was pretty busy, but if I could go back and do it all over again, I would have loved to schedule more one-on-one time with my mentor.

Advice

Don't be afraid to ask questions! No one expects you to know everything there is to know about your field, and internships are definitely a good time to learn about both the company and yourself.
