I loved how we got to be involved in helping rebuild a blind woman whose home was affected by the hurricane. My group that went from my university actually took the build time down a week or so so she ended up being able to move in sooner than the projected time.

Give back to the community and help those that are in need because you do not know what disaster will come up in your life one day.

What I liked
They are a great company who truly care for the community they serve. Even as a volunteer coordinator, we got to learn some much about construction and weather disasters.
What I wish was different
Obviously this is a national program, but the stipend should be based on the city's living expenses, not a general monthly amount.
Advice
Don't be afraid to give this a chance! It was a very fun, rewarding opportunity.
