Sustainability & Special Projects Paraprofessional Intern

JOB SUMMARY:

The intern will assist with various projects throughout the assignment, including, but not limited to:

Project Title: Sustainability Plan
- Assist manager with various plan activities as assigned
- Support outreach activities, internal and external presentations
- Assist in development and maintenance on intranet and internet content
- Asset in development and delivery of status reporting tools

Project Title: Sustainability Program - Recycling Program
- Update inventory of recycling program activities and signage
- Perform inventory of activities and signage at District locations
- Develop recommendations and lead updates of recycling program documentation/signage
Project Title: Greenhouse Gas Report Update
- Provide support as directed
- Collection and compilation of data needed for support
- Testing of planned tools - dashboard and support implementation on District IT framework
- Workflow development and documentation support as directed.

Project Title: EnergyCAP Reconfiguration
- Assist staff in various activities to support reconfiguration and redeployment of EnergyCAP data management tool
- Utility billing data QA/QC tasks and research of billing issues.
- Workflow development and documentation - support and collaboration with TSG
- Lead development of training materials and support delivery of training program to District stakeholders

Project Title: Special Project Support
- Provide support for various projects as directed

- Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
-Candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week from a combination of Monday - Friday during normal business hours.
-Candidate must be able to commit to up to a 12-month assignment with an option to extend the assignment at NEORSD’s discretion. This internship program provides for a time-limited role at NEORSD with no express or implied guarantee of employment for any period of time as the selected candidate is “at will.” This position is governed by all applicable NEORSD administrative policies, practices and procedures related to temporary employees, including employment at will

 
EDUCATION
- Candidate must be enrolled in a Bachelor degree program or better with a declared major of Sustainability, or Environmental Science, or a related field. This position may include those that have graduated from a related program within 24 months of the date of application.
 
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION

- Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record in accordance with the District’s acceptable guidelines.
