Humana is seeking a Chief Nursing Office Intern that will be responsible for:

•Supporting data gathering through analytics, focus groups and individual interviews, material development through internal and external research and interviews, and process development and mapping for CNO educational and leadership development initiatives such as the Nurse Residency Program, the Career Development Rotation program

  • Supporting data gathering through analytics, focus groups and individual interviews, clinical material development through internal and external research and interviews, and process development and mapping for Transformation Management Office condition focused home health initiatives
  • Create efficiencies and self-management models for professional CEU management in multistate licensure
  • By the completion of the internship, the student can expect to have:
  • Greater understanding and insight into value-based health care environment and potential impact on future care models – quality, experience and cost efficiency
  • Greater understanding of managed care environments and impact on contemporary healthcare systems
  • Greater understanding and insight into professional nursing skills and competencies needed to support contemporary healthcare models, and how to support development in existing nursing staff
  • Increased personal comfort and effectiveness with multidisciplinary team communication and collaboration

  • Required Qualifications
  • •Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in nursing with additional coursework, degree or background in business related field
  • •Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with a learners mindset
  • •Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • •Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired
  • •Be actively involved on-campus and/or in the community, preferably with experiences supporting community and individual health or healthcare related experiences
  • •Possess a commitment to working in the healthcare industry, with an eye to innovation and a well-rounded curricula including both clinical and population health and or business coursework
