Intern- Mechanical Engineer
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies; will work in a cross-functional development group; manage a variety of tasks and activities are required in this dynamic environment; and handle some designs.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to design projects with complex design challenges and broad scope.
- Create 3-Dimensional models using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package, preferrred CREO 4.0 and greater.
- Create and revise drawings and bill of materials
- Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed.
- Build prototypes to support the development of product design.
- Participate in identification of cost reduction opportunities and in the design and development of cost reduction changes.
- Other Duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Pursuing Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Technical knowledge of content primarily related to mechanical design
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team
