Financial Analyst

Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is seeking several financial analysts for its Monroeville, PA location.
 
BPMI is a prime contractor for the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). We are a project engineering organization responsible for providing design, manufacturing, and procurement management for the fabrication, testing, delivery, installation, and field support of high quality nuclear power plant components for installation in submarines and aircraft carriers.
 
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer financial functions such as financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis in support of Government projects.
  • Develop prime contract proposals in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Evaluate technical work scopes from engineers and make determination on what types of funding to apply..
  • Work with assigned Engineering Groups to administer the financial function of contracts utilizing government funds. 
  • Reconcile forecasted material and labor costs with the financial budget system to support month-end closing process.
  • Administer employee timekeeping systems and accounting charge codes, facilitate contract billing, and develop manpower budget plans. 
  • Support budget requests as needed and report to senior management.
  • Research and prepare responses to funding/financial requests to internal and external stakeholders including Procurement, Engineering, Logistics, and the Government in compliance with Federal Accounting and fiscal law.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or equivalent, or MBA, from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred for newer college graduates. 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to government security clearance requirements. In order to work at BPMI, applicants must complete a Federal background investigation and be granted a security clearance.
  • Exposure in fiscal law including appropriation law.
  • Experience working in federal financial, accounting, or contractual areas.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment by multi-tasking while still providing significant attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills and resourceful mentality.
  • 5 to 15 years of relevant experience.
