Thermal Engineering Intern

Job Overview

As a Thermal Engineering intern, you’ll have the opportunity to;
  • Gain real world experience – work on cutting-edge system designs by optimizing product performance for electronics cooling, and examining system architectural changes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Problem solve by learning and/or improving modeling, simulation, and 3D CAD skills through mentoring and the use of cutting-edge software tools. 
  • Be an integral member of a technical team by contributing and developing your own ideas with the support of a team
  • Get hands-on in the lab with state-of-the-art equipment for thermal and airflow measurements.
  • Design, analyze, and test new concepts, technologies, and engineering practices.
 
As an intern at TE Connectivity, you will gain experience working for a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. TE Interns apply their classroom experience to value-add projects that create impact across our businesses.

Throughout the 10-12 week Summer Internship Program, TE Interns receive a high touch onboarding experience to support their transition from school into the workforce. Interns come together weekly for events such as professional development workshops, executive paneldiscussions, networking events, plant tours, community involvement, etc. Each intern is assigned a mentor, specific to their development & interests to support them with navigating their internship.

After the internship, students will have gained tangible experience to build their resume & kick start their career. What your background should look like:

  • Pusuing a degree in Thermal Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a focus or interest in Thermal Engineering
  • A demonstrated interest in thermal engineering through acadmic coursework, previous internships, research, or other activities
