Summer Intern, Marketing

POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to assist the marketing team in developing and implementing tactics that support Renewable Energy Groups strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Key Accountabilities:

Lead Generation Through Tradeshows
  • Developing a template social media plan that can be used for all tradeshows
  • Constructing a road map that ensures leads generated are captured in REG’s database and appropriate follow-up by the sales team occurs in a timely manner
  • Identifying unique ways to encourage prospects to register at the tradeshow booth
  • Staffing 2-3 tradeshows, pending scheduling of prioritized tradeshows

Brand Awareness
  • Write script/copy for communications that will target prospects (lead generation)
  • Collaborate with REG’s communication team to write script/copy that can be used in social media channels and the REG website
  • Elevate awareness of the partnership with Manchester United by writing script/copy that highlights the partnership for customers and prospects

Research Analysis
  • Develop, implement and analyze Customer Satisfaction survey
  • Assist in the development of additional market research projects, e.g. brand awareness

Customer Events
  • Assist in coordinating Customer Advisor Board meeting and regional Customer Business meetings
  • Attend marketing special events as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Pursuing a bachelor’s degree – Marketing, Management, or related degree
**Senior or Junior status required

Experience Required: Research and analysis or marketing experience
**Business environment experience, relevant courses, club participation and internship preferred

Skills Required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Basic math and accounting skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Special skills or knowledge preferred:
  • Microsoft MapPoint
  • SalesForce.com
