HEALTHCARE PROVIDER WANTED
We are actively taking every measure to protect our camp community during the COVID-19 situation.
Kiwi Country Day Camp is seeking a health care professional (RN, NP, PA or LPN) as well as an EMT for our 2022 summer season. Applicants must have experience working with children, as well as strong diagnostic skills, patience and ability to provide a caring environment for our campers and staff.
Qualifications: RN, NP, PA, LPN with 3-5 years of experience in a pediatric setting:
- License as required by NY state.
- CPR certified
- Current First aid certification
- Experience in first aid and emergency management
- Desire to work with children and young adults
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Clinical skills to assess and make emergency medical decisions
- Ability to communicate with parents, staff, and administration about camper health concerns
- Detailed orientated
- Computer skills
- Strong phone skills
- Ability to lift/assist campers and staff
- Possess physical endurance to meet emergency needs
Duties:
- Assist with set up of health center
- Reviewing and organizing camper medical records prior to camp
- Maintaining and administering medication
- Assessing campers for illness and injury
- Documenting all visits to the health center
- Communicating with parents and camp administrators
- Respond to any medical emergencies
Our camp season runs: June 27-Aug 19.
Must be available from 8:30am-4:30pm M-F.
