2023 Audit Winter Intern

Aronson LLC is seeking to hire current college students for our Audit Winter Internship Program! The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter with a strong interest in a future career in public accounting. We are looking for candidates that have experience in a wide range of extracurricular activities, demonstrated leadership experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment. As a 2023 Audit Winter Intern, you will:

  • Participate in Aronson’s orientation, technical training boot camp, and hands-on mentorship program
  • Learn directly from senior associates, managers, and partners with various specialized and technical knowledge across different industries and services
  • Develop an understanding of Aronson’s audit approach, technical tools, and methodology to client work
  • Gain on-the-job training through client work engagements and highlight how your academic experience translates to the professional environment
  • Assist with various attestation engagements including audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Perform client work over various financial statement areas including cash, accounts receivables, fixed assets, and accounts payable
  • Understand clients’ needs and expectations, their business and industry, and their accounting and control systems

The experience we’re looking for is:

  • The desire to work part-time, for a minimum of 24 hours per week, from early January to mid-April in 2023
  • Current enrollment in an accounting program at an accredited university with a plan to complete 150 credit hours between May 2023 and August 2024
  • A strong interest in beginning a career in public accounting following the completion of your undergraduate or graduate degree
  • Maintenance of a 3.0 GPA or higher, both overall and in-major
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

*** This opportunity will take place in a hybrid work environment. Please ensure you are local to the DC Metro Area or able to relocate to the area from January 2023 to April 2023.
