Position Description: Fixed Income Capital Markets Summer Internship Program
Our 9-week program provides undergraduates with a hands-on introduction to fixed income sales, trading, and research. As a contributing team member, you will get real-world experience and be fully immersed in the day-to-day business activities of one of the world’s largest financial institutions. You will work alongside our professionals, from Analyst through Managing Director, and gain exposure to various rates and credit products, including investment grade and high yield research, trading, strategies and litigation finance.
Once on board, Summer Interns not only participate in a robust training program their first week of the internship, but the program’s structure provides each intern with the support they need for a successful summer. There are networking events, professional speaker series, end of summer reviews, and significant learning opportunities outside of your day-to-day projects. Summer interns work on multiple projects simultaneously to enhance analytic and practical financial skills, providing the broadest exposure to our firm and the fixed income industry.

Role Responsibilities
A Summer Analyst’s specific responsibilities may include conducting industry research, updating and building financial models to analyze company projections and performance, qualitative research on potential transactions, and setting up portfolio analysis for clients.
·        The primary role of the Summer Intern includes:
·        Analyzing and researching companies in a wide range of industries
·        Conducting industry research and building models
·        Preparing presentation materials such as slides and summaries for pitchbooks
·        Performing in-depth quantitative financial analysis
·        Contributing to team meetings and discussions
 
Qualifications
Summer Intern candidates should possess outstanding academic records and have demonstrated strong leadership ability through involvement in extracurricular endeavors such as student government, athletics, and cultural and entrepreneurial activities.
 
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Pursuing a business-related undergraduate degree and knowledgeable of financial markets
  • Exceptional capacity for problem solving and quick-thinking
  • Driven, proactive, and team-oriented
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement in academics and extracurricular activities
·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·        Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines
·        Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
·        Highly-motivated and energetic
·        Minimum GPA of 3.5
·        An anticipated graduation date of Fall 2023 or Spring 2024
