JOB SUMMARY: CAPI’s Outreach Coordinator will support two critical agency services: 1) CAPI’s Internationally Trained Healthcare Professionals (ITP) Program which is a statewide program with an emphasis on Hennepin and Ramsey counties and 2) Promote CAPI’s Basic Needs and Economic Empowerment services to Brooklyn Park residents. CAPI’s ITP program is designed to support internationally trained healthcare professionals who have been licensed for the same or similar healthcare work in their country of origin and seek to re-enter the healthcare workforce requiring a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate for licensure and obtain professional licensure to do the same or similar work in Minnesota. CAPI’s Brooklyn Park outreach efforts will focus on connecting Brooklyn Park residents to CAPI’s Basic Needs and Economic Empowerment Services. Outreach will include a wide array of strategies including but not limited to: a) in-person/phone/email outreach and networking, and b) working closely with CAPI’s Development and Communications Manager who oversees all flyers, brochures and printed marketing, website/social media, radio and more.

WAGES AND BENEFITS: $24.50 - $25.50 per hour; medical insurance, including generous employer contributions to a Health Savings Account; dental and vision insurance; participation in the agency-sponsored retirement plan with a 3% match; employer-paid life insurance; short- and long-term disability insurance; generous paid time off, plus 10 employer paid holidays and 1 floating holiday per year.

SCHEDULE: The majority of this position is conducted 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday; however, there may be some light evening and weekends. Currently, all CAPI staff are working three days in the office and two days from home. Starting in the fall, all CAPI staff will work four days in the office and have the option of working one day from home as their job responsibilities allow.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internationally Trained Professional (ITP) Outreach
  • Support the ITP program objectives including connecting 30+ eligible persons to the ITP Navigator annually.
  • Outreach to target audiences will include but not be limited to; internationally trained students currently enrolled in colleges/universities; prospective students who are looking to enroll in college/universities; persons who require certification/licensure; and other identified candidates.
  • Conduct outreach at area colleges, universities, community based organizations, libraries, city/county/government entities, etc. to actively promote the program.
  • Develop relationships with colleges and universities including the following departments: financial aid, scholarship, international student organizations and healthcare departments.
Brooklyn Park Outreach
  • Promote CAPI’s Basic Needs and Economic Empowerment Services to Brooklyn Park residents with the goal of raising awareness and connecting persons to CAPI Navigators for services.
  • Utilize existing printed marketing materials from CAPI Basic Needs and Economic Empowerment in outreach efforts.
Data/File Management and Reporting
  • Contribute to department wide performance on outcomes from CAPI’s funders and grantors including DEED Internationally Trained Professional and the Brooklyn Park ARPA grant.
  • Input data into digital databases, including Salesforce/Client Track (i.e. referrals to Navigators).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications, Healthcare, Social Work, Psychology or a related Human Services Field required OR a combination of demonstrably equivalent education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations preferred; ability to work effectively with diverse populations required.
  • Two years of professional experience in marketing/outreach preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bilingual communication skills preferred; ability to proficiently speak/write/read/understand English required.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, balance competing priorities, shift focus quickly, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of human services organizations and/or the Brooklyn Park area preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of systemic social and economic challenges faced by Immigrants and Refugees preferred.
  • Knowledge of higher education system as well as educational and community resources preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid MN Drivers’ License, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet CAPI’s driving record requirements.

COVID protocols: CAPI USA requires employees to be vaccinated as a condition of employment, subject to reasonable accommodation required by law.
