Respiratory Therapy Supervisor

What You Will Do:

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor is responsible for daily clinical operations of respiratory therapy services. The Supervisor will support staff by being a resource. He/she provides education and training, interacts with physicians and other departments to improve patient care, is responsible for safety and quality in all aspects of services provided. He/she ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies for services. Exhibits Valley Health's mission and values as well as exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

What You Will Bring:

Education
Associates Healthcare Respiratory Therapy Required
Bachelors Healthcare Administration or related field preferred

Experience
6 Years Healthcare/Medical - Respiratory Therapy (RRT & CRTT)
RRT required Years

Certification & Licensures
VA Respiratory care practitioner license Required
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
* New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or Rhythm & Med. certification Required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Required

Qualifications
Strong leadership and motivational skills.
Assists in day to day operations of the department.
Must demonstrate clinical expertise in all areas and all equipment from neonate to adult.
Ability to handle moderate to high stressful situations in a calm and conscientious manner.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrates competency and performs consistently under non-routine conditions and complex situations.
Coaches others on performance and suggests ideas for development.
Ensures department's standard of practice along with policies and procedures.
Models behavior in alignment with the organizational values.
