Summary:
The Accounting division is responsible for applying the principles of accounting to process, analyze, and report financial transactions related to bonds, mortgages, and investments. The Accounting intern will assist in preparing quarterly and year-end financial statements. The Intern will also assist in the preparation of the Corporation’s revenue and operating budgets.

Intern Responsibilities:
·      Review investment activity
·      Review mortgage activity
·      Calculate monthly accruals
·      Process transactions to maintain the general ledger
·      Perform reconciliations of bank and financial accounts
·      Undertake special projects as requested
                    
                
Qualifications:

·      Pursuing a BA or BS degree in Accounting.
·      Excellent communication skills
·      Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
·      Understanding of basic accounting principles
 
Preferred Qualifications:

·      Knowledge of applying accounting principles
·      Course work in Financial Accounting
