Job Summary
Kairos Power, LLC is seeking highly motivated students for our Business Internships. Through our unique internships, we provide students with hands-on experience across a variety of different disciplines including: Finance, Accounting, Operations, Strategy, Safety and Public Policy.

Internships can include but are not limited to:
  • Staff Accountant Intern where you will learn about the day to day accounting process and procedures. The Staff Accountant will be assigned a role in Kairos Power’s month end close process and various other processes with the guidance and mentorship of the Senior Accountant as well as from the Senior Manager and Accounts Payable team member as needed.
  • Business Development Intern where you will research and converge information on Power Plant RFP examples. This role will also document LOI attributes critical in standard Power Plant Development projects – especially in cases for (i) first time sales between customer and vendor, and/or (ii) new technologies. In addition, the intern will also assist with and maintain US Customer market analysis and pipeline in coordination with Strategy and Regulatory including information gathering and new opportunity investigation.
  • Strategy Intern where you will have the exciting opportunity to support our team by researching and analyzing data to best support Kairos’ forward looking strategic initiatives, and help define the execution plans that the team will use to deliver those initiatives. While supporting corporate strategy development and innovation initiatives, you will work within a small direct team, but across a cross-functional organization, dedicated to driving our corporate strategic planning roadmap, leveraging data and market insights to inform critical company decisions. We are looking for a creative, proactive and enthusiastic intern with a solution-oriented mindset with the ability to change course quickly in a high-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a savvy graduate student with a passion for corporate strategy and business development.
  • Marketing and Communications Intern where you will work on the MarCom team to help tell stories that connect stakeholders with Kairos Power’s mission. We are looking for a creative, proactive and enthusiastic intern with a solution-oriented mindset with the ability to change course quickly in a high-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a savvy undergraduate or graduate student with a passion for marketing strategy, media relations, public policy and government relations.
  • Marketing Strategy and Innovation Intern where you will have the exciting opportunity to support our team by researching and analyzing data to best support the future-forward strategic initiatives of Kairos Power, and help define a successful execution plan. Supporting corporate strategy development and innovation initiatives, you will work within a small direct team, but across a cross-functional organization, dedicated to driving our corporate strategic planning roadmap, leveraging data and market insights to inform critical company decisions. We are looking for a creative, proactive and enthusiastic intern with a solution-oriented mindset with the ability to change course quickly in a high-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a savvy undergraduate or graduate student with a passion for marketing strategy, public policy and government relations.
  • Supply Chain Intern where you will work with the Procurement, Engineering Design, Testing and Salt Chemistry teams to build the supply chain for the Kairos Power Fluoride-Salt-Cooled High-Temperature Reactor (KP-FHR). Leveraging strong working relationships with our engineering teams and key suppliers, you will support the development, implementation and management of strategies to assure that Kairos Power’s cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. You will work toward good supplier relationships and optimized total cost of ownership to achieve maximum advantage for Kairos Power.

Our 12-week summer internships provide interns with challenging and meaningful hands-on work opportunities where they are able to apply their course learnings to real world scenarios. Staff Accountant Intern
Basic Qualifications
  • Working towards a degree in accounting
  • Interest in the high-growth technology sector, preferable in nuclear and clean energy
  • Desire to learn, grow, and take on additional tasks
  • Not afraid to ask questions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt job tasks as required
  • Willingness to achieve a high standard of accuracy and precision

  • GAAP knowledge

Strategy Intern
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or similar background with at least 2 years of corporate strategy experience
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Works well with others with the ability to build trust within the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities.
  • High-level leadership and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct market and/or customer requirements research and to communicate results and associated impacts on related business imperatives
  • Experience conducting financial analysis, with preferred experience working with cost models and on cost strategy
