Supply Chain Intern (Summer 2023 - Internship Program)

Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health. This internship program will provide you with professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities.  You will learn about the Guiding Principles of our culture but most importantly, have the opportunity to become a key contributor in the future talent pipeline of AmerisourceBergen.

Start Date: June 5, 2023
End Date: August 11. 2023
Location: Remote or Hybrid

Under general direction of the designated manager, you will assist with a variety of function-specific job assignments and contribute to the completion of established projects and initiatives.
AS A PART OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN TEAM, YOU WILL :

  • Support and improves business processes to ensure timely and efficient onboarding of new manufactures for the Drug and Security Act (DSCSA).
  • Participate in the implementation of the regulatory processes to track trace transaction history.
  • Maintain current Drug and Security Act (DSCSA) compliance metrics. 
  • Work with both the Secure Supply Chain (SSC) Team and Global Quality, Risk, and Resilience (GQRR) Team to identify and report on gaps in transactional history collected by each manufacture.

Currently enrolled in undergraduate school with an upcoming completion of a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related studies.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Good project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills
  • Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
  • Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of computers to operative effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook
