Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. Typical fields of expertise include: materials, mechanics and systems, electrical, optics, chemistry, software, automation systems, packaging, testing and measurement, and manufacturing of electrical, mechanical and electronic components, products, and their integration into systems. As a Product Development Engineering Intern on our North America E-mobility Terminals & Connectors team, you’ll have the opportunity to: 
  • Utilize various solid modeling and finite element analysis software packages to develop product concepts 
  • Work with product development documentation such as, solid models, drawings, product and application specifications, tolerance analysis, and test plans & reports 
  • Experience failure prevention and analysis tools 
  • Develop communication skills while working with cross-functional product launch teams 
   
Responsibilities 
  • Perform product development tasks with guidance from an experienced product development engineer 
  • Network with other engineers, cross-functional team members, employee resource groups and management 
  • Complete an intern presentation to colleagues and mentors 
 
What your background should look like
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, Mechanical Engineering 
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
