Intern Systems Development

This is a paid internship; however, intern must provide own housing and transportation. Business related transportation and expenses will be paid by the organization. This internship is for full time hours during the summer 2023.

Position Overview:
This internship will provide hands on experience in the business technology team. The intern will learn how to work in an agile development team to build and enhance business systems.
Essential Functions:
  • Interact with an agile development team and business users to document requirements and develop solutions to solve business problems.
  • Work on developing new systems, as well as supporting and enhancing existing systems depending on need.
  • Adhere to standards and best practices of established software development guidelines.
  • Assist with software development under the guidance of an experienced developer.
  • Assist with developer testing prior to QA.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Active student pursuing an Information Technology degree and/or certificate.
  • Exposure to some software development languages with a basic understanding of software development processes.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills, including the ability to translate technical information into non-technical terms.
  • Strong time management and planning skills are also required, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
