Overview  
At Sleep Number we are improving lives every day through proven quality sleep, creating a health and wellness revolution with sleep at the center. Join our team for a 12-week summer internship experience working as a rotational intern with the Human Resources team, where you will work on processes that support our culture and help develop our leaders and team members.  
 
Primary Responsibilities  
Support the Human Resources department and grow broad skills through a 12-week
rotational experience based on your interests and background.
The work you do could focus on:    
  • Driving team member engagement and retention using communications,  operations
and organizational skills   
  • Learning the programs and tools the HR department uses to support content creation and sharing 
  • Creating plans and recommendations for future programs and talent capabilities 
  • Creating content that supports team members’ wellbeing, learning and development 
  • Analyzing trends to create efficiencies in the HR department, or for team members going through the talent and hiring process 
 
Position Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university, working towards a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Human Resource Management, Business or other related degree 
  • At least two years of coursework completed by May 2023
  • Action Oriented: eager to learn and try new opportunities  
  • Collaborates: builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others,  interacting with tact and confidence   
  • Resourcefulness: a problem solver with the ability to make connections and ask questions to find the answer    
  • Analytical skills: Strong information gathering, organizing, and analyzing skills to better understand insights and trends  
  • Technology skills (all trainable): Ability to learn and use programs like Office 365, the Workday
system and SharePoint  
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills   
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently  
  • Excellent organizational skills to provide efficient and timely follow-up to deadlines

Safety
