2023 Summer Internship | Merchandising
School Year: Junior/Senior  
Dates of the Internship: June 1, 2022 – August 6th, 2022
Format: In-Person in Bowling Green, Kentucky
 
Camping World is looking for a Merchandising intern for the summer of 2023 to work within our Merchandising department. As an intern, you will assist with the daily operations and gain a first-hand experience in the department. We are looking for a self-starter with a great attitude someone who has strong analytical skills and/or a creative background. Someone who is driven, has experience, and who wants to be immersed in a real-world experience. If you are eager to learn and want to further develop yourself as a professional; this is the ideal role for you. This role is a full-time, paid, ten-week internship that will offer a great opportunity to work alongside professionals in your desired field.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Learn the duties, responsibilities, and processes of the Merchandising Department
  • Attend weekly business meetings
  • Assist with inventory or planning projects
  • Communicate with others in the department to collaborate on merchant, visual or private label branding
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising department strategic layouts in the field
  • Perform assigned duties by managers
  • Attend internship cohort networking and professional development events
  • Present overall internship experience to intern cohort at the end of the summer
Qualifications:
  • In pursuit of or a recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business and Communications
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office: Suite: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Sufficient knowledge of business analysis, Oracle, and financial planning
  • Must be able to evaluate and interpret data in statistical and narrative form
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor and strict confidentiality
  • Must be diligent, organized, ambitious, and a critical thinker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with research, problem-solving and note-taking skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with ability to multitask
