At Equitable, our power is in our people.
We’re individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. Those differences make us stronger as a team and a force for good in our communities.  Here, you’ll work with dynamic individuals, build your skills, and unleash new ways of working and thinking. Are you ready to join an organization that will help unlock your potential?
Actuarial Intern Program
Each summer, Equitable invites a select group of diverse and talented college students to spend ten weeks learning from our actuarial team. In addition to leading an actuarial project, you will:
  • Prepare for a Society of Actuaries exam with our prep classes.
  • Improve your technical skills through Excel and VBA trainings.
  • Research and collaborate on an actuarial topic that you will present to the senior leadership team.
  • Work with a mentor to enhance your knowledge and learn how to work in an office setting.
  • Learn from experienced actuaries at the Summer Speaker Series.
  • Socialize with developing actuaries and more senior members at various group events throughout the summer.
For over 35 years, our program has provided summer interns with an in-depth look at a challenging and exciting actuarial career. Combining on-the-job training with structured learning opportunities, you will receive personal attention and guidance to make meaningful contributions to current company initiatives. You will gain first-hand experience with the techniques used to solve insurance business problems by working closely with actuaries across the Pricing, Valuation, Actuarial Modeling and Risk Management areas.
