Business Development Representative Intern (Summer 2023)

Fortinet is one of the world’s leaders in all things cybersecurity and we’re looking for great people to join our growing team! We’re recruiting six (6) full-time Business Development Interns to join our Summer 2023 Internship & Early Talent Program.
 
In this role, you'll be working with the business development organization, where we drive sales through targeted prospecting, collaboration within the sales organization and defined selling tactics and sequences. You'll be exposed to working with business development through sales and marketing initiatives. Besides working directly with a team lead, you will be able to interact with the entire business development organization to better understand the processes that will ensure a successful transition into a full-time position.

Majority of these internships will be based out of our headquarters in Sunnyvale, California; with the exception of 1-2 where interns can work from our office in Frisco, Texas.

About You:
  • Self-motivated, a problem solver, and enthusiastic "can-do" attitude with a passion for learning and growing.
  • Skilled in critical thinking, communication & objection handling.
 
Job Duties:
  • Forecasting metrics (help track productivity against department goals)
  • Calling down webinar/registration lists​
  • Shadowing full-time BDRs​
  • Familiarizing yourself with tech stack/SFDC​
  • Data hygiene (scrubbing leads) ​
  • NSE Trainings​
  • Pitch training/workshops​
  • Executive fireside chats ​
  • Socials/Happy Hours​    
 
Qualifications:
  • Currently a Senior enrolled in a four-year degree program pursuing a Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications or related field degree with an expected graduation date of December 2023.
  • A passion for cybersecurity and an aptitude for learning and solving complex problems.
  • The ideal candidate will be innovative, team-oriented, an effective communicator, have a desire to participate in change and ability to prioritize projects in a fast pace environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong knowledge with selling techniques, prospecting tools, communication, speaking, and writing skills.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the job type and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $18 - $22 per hour. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

Please note, we are currently operating in a hybrid working environment which calls for a blend of on-site and remote work.
