2023 Experiential Internship – Supply Chain Data Analyst

Internship Overview  
Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality for AbbVie’s Experiential Interns.  

Key responsibilities include: 
  • Central and dedicated analytics point of contact for GDL and SC management, 3PLs, carriers, and consultants supporting global operations.   
  • Synthesizes, interprets, and leverages datasets based on modeling with process knowledge around planning, distribution, warehousing and logistics and their interdependencies.   
  • Become involved in learning about new tools through their use and functionality as well as helping to improve those existing and potentially providing input into new tools with the intention of automating reoccurring processes and manipulation of large datasets 
  • Presents results to management and business partners to support making high-impact business value decisions.  
  • Continuously searches for innovative ways to drive awareness on data driven opportunities and will be recognized as a key member in the analytics/data science area within supply chain domain to support all international regions.  
  • Apply data and analytics in the identification and realization of sustainable continuous improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives led by colleagues 
  • Offer innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges in assigned areas of responsibility and create future efficiencies 

Minimum Qualifications 
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, or Information Systems, or other related field of study 
  • Returning to university for at least one semester and graduating within one-year post internship 
  • Expected graduation date between December 2023 –June 2024 
  • Must possess excellent overall view and analytical skills

  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Possess strong problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills 
  • Ability to be a team player with focus on improvement and strong drive for results
