Department
The Field Human Resources Department (Field HR) is responsible for recruitment, selection, placement, and retainment of qualified and well-suited field staff to meet the human resource needs of MSF field operations across 70+ countries worldwide.
Project
Objective: To provide support to the Field HR recruitment team while offering a practical learning experience to someone interested in NGO recruitment, international human resources, public events and marketing.
The Recruitment Intern will support the ongoing work of the Unit through the support of administrative tasks, planning and preparing recruitment outreach activities, speaking events and targeted discussions, including webinars and conferences, and assisting with staff onboarding in the NY office. This is a hands-on position providing the opportunity to become familiar with the recruitment process, talent sourcing and tools through which MSF communicates its recruitment message to the general public. The ideal candidate will contribute creatively to new and ongoing projects, while providing logistical and administrative support to the Field HR Recruitment team.
A candidate with an interest in event planning, human resources and recruitment, research, communications, advertising or marketing would be best suited for this position.
Tasks
- Project-based planning, including research into outreach target audiences, preparation and logistical support of recruitment events and activities, and coordinating materials for speaking events, webinars, and other presentations
- Creating and updating outreach materials and contact lists
- Manage triage and follow up on public inquiries (incl. Field HR Inbox)
- Support HERO systems data entry and files transfer to MSF Field HR SharePoint site
- Logistical support for Welcome Days onboarding for newly hired field staff
- Other administrative support to Recruitment Team and across other units in People & Culture department
Requirements
- Strong interest in international human resources, recruitment, event planning or public education.
- Research experience and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in event planning a plus.
Above average computer literacy preferred, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Expected to work in a hybrid work environment with the ability to come into the NYC office a minimum of 2 times a week.
