SEO Specialist

Position Summary:

The Intern, Marketing is focused on Front-End Web Development to combine the art of networking with the talent of programming and the organic side of digital marketing. Responsibilities will include outreach to webmasters and other developers maintaining government, corporate and educational websites from across all our many web properties to establish connections where they are mutually beneficial. This position partners with the SVP of Marketing, leaders in operations, back-end developers, digital marketers, and project managers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation while providing our helpful content to others across the internet. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features for our websites and other major websites
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Outreach to improve the connectivity and applicable digital network of our websites
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Monitor and update all links and measure traffic from of all live websites across those links

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 and WordPress
  • Basic understanding of link building, organic search quality measures and redirect implications on the aforementioned activities
  • Good understanding of Google Tag Manager and other Google and Microsoft Ads tags, Gravity Forms, Screaming Frog/ DeepCrawl or other site audit software, Salesforce and Hubspot
  • Proficient in formal email communication and follow-up etiquette
  • Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
  • Proficient knowledge of Search Operators** and advanced Search Engine Query Strings
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

Minimum Education / Experience / Qualifications:

  • Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
