Accounting/Finance Internships - Summer 2023

Our summer internships provide ambitious undergraduates the chance to gain real-world experience in their field of study. We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where you learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. Internships take place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, over a 10-12 week period.

Donaldson has multiple internship opportunities within Accounting/Finance working on projects such as:
1) Capital Planning and Investments: You will learn how optimal capital allocation helps us in achieving our business objectives and improving our Company’s return on investment. You will support members of our Corporate Treasury Risk Management Team and will also have independent projects. This is a great assignment for an individual who is well-organized, collaborative, and has an analytical mindset.

2) Operations Accounting: Audit T&E expense reports and procurement card transactions. Update & design Sharepoint sites. Review vendor statements and assist in vendor and internal customer inquiries.

3) Financial Planning and Analysis: Analyze and prepare financial statements,
assist in budgeting procedures and building financial reports (including month-end reporting) and ad-hoc reporting.

4) Additional Accounting and Finance Projects to be added based on skillset and desired needs of each intern.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards an accredited degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline at an accredited college/university
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
