Position Specific Description
The position available is in the Site Engineering Department.
The Candidates preferred field of study: Electrical, Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering.
This position performs a variety of engineering tasks that require extensive analysis and evaluation of components utilized across our enterprise. This position also includes responsibilities for technical decisions associated with the operation and maintenance of the Seabrook Nuclear Power Station.
Employees in the role will be provided real world experience related to the design, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems in the operation Nuclear Power Station. The position offers the ideal candidate experience with equipment installation, equipment selection, calculations, and project management. Good presentation skills are also a requirement.
 
Some of the responsibilities for our interns are listed below.
  • Assists department with assigned projects as required. 
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments.
  • Participates in field walk downs of plant equipment. 
  • Participates in equipment selection for assigned projects.
  • Performs calculations and validates the results using independent techniques.
  • Develops and maintains a project schedule. Periodically reports out on schedule progress.
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
