2023 Summer Intern: WMC Marketing Omni Capabilities - Walmart Connect

OMNI CAPABILITIES 

Omni Capabilities in WMC Marketing is a horizontal, cross-functional innovation and acceleration unit focused on unlocking new marketing capabilities to leverage in building custom and scalable omnichannel media and marketing solutions for client partners across specific SBUs.  

It collaborates and leads WMC’s partnership with Walmart’s Seasonal Marketing, Cross-Site, Media, Experiential, Walmart+, and Content-to-Commerce businesses.  

Internally within WMC, Omni Capabilities enables Client Solutions by developing capabilities and offerings to leverage for supplier-specific 360 omnichannel programs. It partners with WMC Strategy, Omni Transformation on pilots to test and learn, spearheads strategic initiatives anchored in our Walmart homepage, and collaborates with Sales Operations and Yield to develop WMC’s commercial offering around key enterprise initiatives.  

JOB OVERVIEW 

The Omni Capabilities team in WMC Marketing is looking for an undergraduate intern to work across various projects and focus areas, partnering with and supporting Managers and Sr. Managers on strategic initiatives, and leading key, scalable projects. 

This position reports to a Senior Manager in Omni Capabilities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Innovation database: identify and connect with current and prospective partners that Walmart Connect marketing can leverage in program extensions. Recommend use cases for each and guardrails around when to engage or not. 
  • CSR: build a program framework for a specific CSR opportunity identified by Sr. Managers. Requires connectivity to Category Strategy to link customer insight to outcome, development of creative idea/media plan to support, and the suppliers that would be best suited to the opportunity. 
  • Livestream planning and activation: write playbooks and best practices to plan and activate shoppable content livestreams with best-in-class partners, managing activation to bring several customer experiences to life – in partnership with top-tier CPG brands. 
  • Possible internship projects could include strategic topics related to media planning, audience insights, creative campaign development, and/or marketing technology. 
  • Author onboarding guides and form a recommended charter for future undergrad internships, inclusive of university engagement, advocacy and recruitment, sensibly considering our focus on attracting diverse backgrounds and perspectives.  
Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program currently 
  • Expected graduation date between December 2023-August 2024 
  • 0-1 years of full-time relevant experience

The annual salary range for this position is $36,000.00-$377,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)- Stock equity incentives
