Summer 2023 Marketing Communications Intern

KFI is a highly agile, matrixed organization with dozens of projects active at any one time, many of which are strategic and high priority. The KFI includes professionals from diverse disciplines including industrial/organizational, quantitative, and educational psychology; sociology; neuroscience; and data science. As such, this role may require collaboration across research, thought leadership, data, analytics, IP, and measurement areas, and projects may involve multiple cross-functional stakeholders.

In fact, you’ll be welcomed as a valued member of the team, and you’ll be working on real projects, alongside senior Korn Ferry consultants. Your assignments might include things like market mapping, creating client presentations, analyzing data or even attending client meetings - professional experiences that will look great on your resume.

We’ll offer you plenty of support and guidance while you’re here, as well as practical training and development. This internship will help you learn the business and people skills you need to succeed in the workplace and give you the chance to start building your professional network.

The Korn Ferry Global Internship Program is open to rising juniors and seniors from any academic major, as well as candidates earning post graduate degrees.

THE ROLE

This intern would support the Senior Manager of Writing & Editing, KFI in driving a wide range of projects related to Korn Ferry Institute (KFI) marketing and communications, such as producing easy-to-consume, science-based content that can be utilized with clients and provide substance for marketing campaigns to further establish KFI as an insight generator. Responsibilities may include:

  • Writing and editing accessible thought leadership based on our research and science such as: Neuroscience in the workplace; the future of work; leadership of the future; ESG trends and best practices; and DE&I insights.
  • Producing engaging, digestible web copy for landing page articles and social media posts.
  • Assisting with high-visibility, high-priority KFI projects that require writing, editing, and design work for deliverables.
  • Collaborate with KF Marketing to support partnership initiatives, brainstorm thought leadership ideas, and offer suggestions on new strategies and tactics.
  • Helping to execute key tactics of KFI’s communications action plan that will enable growth, such as performing quality checks on kornferry.com to ensure KFI’s research and science is accurately represented; developing an internal KFI media kit so that internal stakeholders have better access to KFI’s research and science, as well as line of contact with SMEs, in order to sell solutions to current and prospective clients; help conduct audience research to optimize KFI content.

COMPENSATION RATE: $18 - $25 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing an undergraduate (rising junior or senior) or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business, or a similar field of study
  • Successfully manage strong academics with extracurricular activities
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems, such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities
