Voluntary Benefits Sales Intern- Summer 2023 (Hunt Valley, MD)

Overview

As a Voluntary Benefits Sales Intern, you will gain an understanding of the insurance industry and the distribution models for insurance products and in-house services, learning how to leverage that understanding when identifying potential clients. You’ll help us share how AssuredPartners brings a customized approach to risk management, collaborating with clients, carriers, and colleagues. The program will provide you with an understanding of the business to business sales process, from initial prospect identification through the close of a sale, while surrounding you with a dedicated team to help develop your sales skills. This internship simulates the work required to thrive in a fast-paced sales culture, focused on activity and results. Through sales competitions, trainings, and mentorship, you will have endless opportunities to grow. 
 
The Ideal Candidate
  • A true go-getter, you are able to take initiative and are a highly motivated person to succeed.
  • As an intern sales professional for AssuredPartners, you feel comfortable and confident in your interpersonal skills and set high ethical standards for yourself.
  • You can “read the room” and would like to grow a to high level of business acumen by learning from those in the company.
National Internship Program:

Responsibilities

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.
  • Prospect: involves using our Sales Tools to identify and cold contact potential voluntary benefits clients
  • Use Sales Tools to identify cross-sell opportunities
  • Adhere to our Intern program as outlined
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel is expected to be negligible in this role.

Qualifications

  • Must currently be enrolled and in good standing at an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university.
