Summer 2023 Graduate Internship Program
Summer 2023, NYP will be offering several 10-week paid internship opportunities for qualified graduate students from leading university programs.
Incoming interns will work closely with senior management and participate in achieving our strategic initiatives in Culture, Access, Engagement, Health & Wellbeing, Value, and High Reliability.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, February 10, 2023.
These exciting internship opportunities will take place from June 5 - August 11, 2023 on site in New York, NY.
Hiring Departments: Dalio Center for Health Justice, Emergency Management, Experience Design and Execution (International Consulting), Information Technology, Marketing and Communications, Nursing, and Physician Services.
- Dalio Center: Intern will conduct research, manage projects, develop project plans, and other responsibilities. Intern should have an interest in health equity. MPH graduate student applicants are preferred.
- Emergency Management: Intern will develop training, conduct training, ensure regulatory requirements are met in training, and other responsibilities. Basic level of FEMA certifications is preferred. MPH, MBA, MHA graduate student applicants are preferred. Note: this position is located at 21 Bloomingdale Rd, White Plains, NY.
- Experience Design and Execution: Two opportunities available. One intern will focus on strategy, qualitative research, quantitative projects, and other responsibilities. MPH, MBA, MHA graduate student applicants are preferred. Second intern will focus on qualitative research, end user experience, digital work, user research, and other responsibilities. Graduate students in Human Computer Interaction, design/innovation, and MBA programs are preferred.
- IT: Intern will leverage radio frequency ID tech, focus on process improvement, have an interest in engineering and quantitative processes, and other responsibilities. MBA graduate students are preferred; engineering background is preferred.
- Marketing and Communications: Intern will research for new content partnerships, create content, develop proposals using PPT, and other responsibilities. MBA, communications, journalism graduate students are preferred.
- Nursing: Intern will capture data, manage projects, support magnet standards' measurements/tracking, and other responsibilities. MSN graduate students are preferred.
- Physician Services: Intern will work on project management, finalizing patient experience, data mining, and other responsibilities. MPH, MBA, MHA graduate student applicants are preferred.
Internship Program Components
- Each intern will be assigned a mentor from the members of the Emerging Leadership Council
- Interns will have one-on-one career information meetings with Senior Leaders
- All interns will create and present a 15-minute presentation to senior leaders to highlight their contributions to the organization at the completion of the summer program
- Interns will be invited to participate in networking events throughout the summer with other emerging leaders in the organization who have completed similar programs to enhance their summer experience
Required Criteria
- Qualified candidates will have completed their first year of a graduate program by the start of the internship; and be currently enrolled in a graduate program (MBA, MHA, MPA, MPH preferred)

- Virtual Interviews with Hiring Managers will take place in late February (please be flexible and available to interview on both days)
