Intern - Business Intelligence and Analytics

Responsibilities
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
  • Collect and manage required sets of data
  • Produce accurate analyses and/or hypotheses testing by applying algorithms to large structured as well as unstructured datasets.
  • Understand key paths, patterns and customer behaviors leading to desired as well as undesired business outcomes; perform deep data analysis to understand root causes and develop business strategies to solve for problem areas.
  • Conduct research and attend training for current and emerging business intelligence technologies in support of reporting needs
  • Other duties as assigned
 

Desired Qualifications
  • Pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in information technology or a directly related field.
  • Career interest in Business Intelligence and Data Science.
  • Strong communication, analytical and organization skills
  • Passion to learn, should be able to work independently and in a team
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
  • Produce accurate analyses and/or hypotheses testing by applying algorithms to large structured as well as unstructured datasets.
  • Technical skills:
  • Strong knowledge in SQL, Advanced MS Excel and PowerBI
  •  Should be able to work with large sets of data
  • Willing to work flexible hours
  • Requires ability to maintain overall productivity in an interruption-driven environment
  • Travel as required (domestic & international
 

Desired Software Skills Requirements
  • Power BI, Data Analytics, SQL, Python
 

Desired Area of Study
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program with a major in Business Analytics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, or Management

The anticipated pay range for this role in the California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York, or Washington locality is between $16.50 to $35.00 per hour—pay ranges for other geographic localities may vary.  The role is eligible to participate in a benefits program, including 401K (for participants who are 21 or older in age), Commuter, Identity Protection, and PTO.
