Mars Corporate Affairs and Internal Communications Undergraduate Internship

What are we looking for?


As a Corporate Affairs - Internal Communications Intern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

What will be your key responsibilities?
Develop high-quality communications materials for a variety of channels and audiences; support internal communications through writing, editing, and posting to Mars Associate platforms Evaluate and research internal communication effectiveness and present findings to stakeholders; share recommendations grounded in insights, for example, how to evolve internal communication channels, leverage A/B testing with key audiences and explore agile metrics that could help the team pivot strategies with speed mid-delivery Support enhancements to our change communications learning & development content for Corporate Affairs Associates to leverage globally

What we’re looking for:

  • Student entering their senior year who is passionate about communications, working within a purpose-led organization and building business acumen
  • Curious collaborator energized by building relationships with Associates across our business and comfortable working autonomously on key projects
  • Open to students legally authorized to work in the U.S., without the need for current or future work status authorization or visa sponsorship for employment
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug & background screening




What will be your key responsibilities?


As a Public Affairs/Internal Communications Intern, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

  • Develop high-quality communications materials for a variety of channels and audiences; support internal communications through writing, editing, and posting to Mars Associate platforms
  • Evaluate and research internal communication effectiveness and present findings to stakeholders; share recommendations grounded in insights, for example, how to evolve internal communication channels, leverage A/B testing with key audiences and explore agile metrics that could help the team pivot strategies with speed mid-delivery 
  • Support enhancements to our change communications learning & development content for Corporate Affairs Associates to leverage globally
  • Pitch and develop a workshop/live training opportunity for internal communications skill-building based on research
  • Conduct a study of best-in-class employee intranet sites and knowledge-sharing hubs of outside companies, and synthesize findings for internal communication team
  • Special projects with our Community Engagement team
  • Manage project flows to ensure projects are delivered on time and that stakeholders are aligned and informed
  • Editing & proofreading in line with Mars tone of voice and corporate brand style guidelines
