Healthcare Coordinator

Emagination STEM Camps is looking for a summer camp Health Care Coordinator driven to make a difference in the lives of campers who are passionate about technology. Celebrating over 40 years at 6 US campus locations - Emagination delivers an innovative tech education that merges seamlessly with an awesome summer camp experience.

As a Health Care Coordinator, your goal is maintain a safe and healthy environment for the campers to create memorable and meaningful camp experiences. Our Health Care Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of Emagination's Health Care Plan that includes providing First Aid, individual health care, maintaining health records, administration and tracking of medications, collaborating with external health care providers, corporate team members and parents/guardians. Outside of the health care center, Health Care Coordinators meet with camper groups, supervise the dorms and lead camp programs and recreational activities while creating a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Healthcare Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Day to day implementation of Emagination Tech Camps Health Care Plan. This includes providing First Aid, individual health care, maintaining health records, management, administration and tracking of medications, collaborating with external health care providers, corporate team members and parents/guardians.
  • During emergencies or crises, lead and coordinate the camp's response from a healthcare perspective in order to provide for the health and safety of campers and staff.
  • Use CampDoc.com to manage health care at camp including health history form updates, medications, treatment records and communications.
  • Set up and maintain the nurse's station and infirmary room.
  • Attend staff training week, complete online pre-camp training and provide appropriate training to team members.
  • Live on campus with our campers and be responsible for their well-being during the day, evening and on the weekend
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as required

Requirements:

  • Licensed as an RN, NP, PA, or LPN and be able to work in CT
  • Available to reside on location for 7 weeks of employment at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT
  • Must be at least 21 years old by June 1
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a summer camp or other environment working with children
  • Experience distributing and tracking medications
  • Experience communicating sensitive information related to health and medical to patients and their parents
  • First Aid and CPR certification including Mental Health First Aid
  • Successfully pass applicable background screenings and provide verifiable references
