Director Ambulatory Services

Lead Northern Light Health organizational strategy, program development, and operational performance of ambulatory care pharmacy programs in practice-based settings. Provide operational oversight of system-wide pharmacy technician based tele-pharmacy services for prescription refill authorizations and prior authorizations. Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards within pharmacist clinical practice in ambulatory settings. Optimizes chronic disease state management in high-risk patient populations to improve population health.

Other Information:
  • Must be a registered Pharmacist, or eligible for licensure in the State of Maine.
  • Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) preferred.
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited pharmacy residency, particularly administrative residency is preferred.
Competencies and Skills
  • 5+ years of relative work experience required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership position.
  • Experience in ambulatory pharmacy practice settings required.

Credentials
  • Required Registered Pharmacist
Education
  • Required Master's Degree - An advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or MS) required.
