As part of the Vermont Department of Health, the Barre District Office is among the largest of 12 local health offices in Vermont. Located in downtown Barre, we strive to offer a dynamic, supportive, professionally challenging, healthy, and vibrant workplace where employees can learn, perform, and thrive as public health professionals. The Vermont Department of Health is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the department's diversity and commitment to fostering an environment of mutual respect, acceptance, and equal opportunity. Examples of this may include a commitment to working with people from various backgrounds and cultures, including individuals with limited English proficiency and demonstrating the ability to promote and support diversity and cultural competency. Applicants are encouraged to include in their cover letter information about how they will further this goal.
