Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM)

Compensation: $28,800/year ($2,400/month or $15/hour)

About Us: This position supports a key project for the one of the largest and most respected healthcare providers in the region. The project is part of a collaboration between our organization and a Dallas-based partner with an agreement to provide services to the Willis-Knighton network. Our mission is to enhance healthcare operations by ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency of electronic medical records (EMR).

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Data Abstractor to join our team in Shreveport, LA. In this role, you will play a critical part in digitizing and managing healthcare records, contributing to the seamless integration of vital patient information into electronic systems. Your efforts will directly impact the quality and accessibility of patient care within a prestigious healthcare network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digitally scan and accurately index patient records into the EMR system, ensuring high-quality data integrity.
  • Maintain and organize electronic records to support seamless access for clinical and administrative teams.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain scanning equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with healthcare and IT teams to improve workflows and enhance record accessibility.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to staff on using document management systems effectively.

Requirements:

  • Preference will be given to candidates who are local residents of Shreveport, LA.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; relevant coursework or experience in healthcare, IT, or data management is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems or healthcare data management is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and adapt to evolving technology and procedures.
