React Native Fullstack Intern - Redvest (Marina del Rey, CA)

Redvest, a rapidly growing startup redefining financial education for Gen Z with an AI-powered stock market game, is looking for React Native Fullstack Interns to join our dynamic team in Marina del Rey, CA. With over 150,000 users and a mission to make investing accessible and engaging, this is an exceptional opportunity to work on a large-scale app and gain hands-on experience in fullstack development in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobile Development: Build and maintain features for our React Native app (not just using Expo), ensuring smooth user experiences and scalability.
  • Backend Integration: Develop and integrate APIs, leveraging Firebase for real-time database solutions.
  • React Expertise: Utilize strong React and React Native skills to develop robust, reusable components and dynamic UI interactions.
  • Backend Development: Collaborate on Python-based backend development for enhanced app functionality (a plus, but not required).
  • Debugging and Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues to optimize app speed and functionality.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features.
  • Scalable Features: Assist in implementing scalable architecture for the app's growing user base.
  • Version Control: Use Git effectively to manage codebase contributions and deployments.

Qualifications:

  • React Native Proficiency: Strong experience with React Native beyond Expo. Hands-on knowledge of bridging native code for app development.
  • Firebase Expertise: Familiarity with Firebase for authentication, Firestore database, and messaging.
  • Fullstack Experience: Ability to work on both front-end and back-end (API) components.
  • React Skills: Proficient in React, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
  • Prior Internship Experience: Must have interned at another company or worked on a substantial project demonstrating real-world coding skills.
  • API Knowledge: Comfortable working with and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A passion for troubleshooting, debugging, and delivering optimal solutions.
  • Python Knowledge: Bonus points for experience with Python for backend development.
