Engineering Technician

Power House Manufacturing is looking for hard working and reliable individuals to become an essential part of a growing team in the high demand and growing industry of electronics & power generation.

The Power House  Load Bank product line groups consist of:

  • EV charging solutions
  • EV propulsion developmental testing
  • AC & DC Military systems testing
  • DC Industrial battery testing (lifecycle testing and verification)
  • AC power generation systems (Power Plants & Generators)
  • Renewable energy (Hydrokinetic Turbines, Solar Fields, Wind Farms, Etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to create wiring diagrams/schematics, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, test procedures, and other documents as needed.
  • Skills for wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and recording of data.
  • Ability to use test equipment such as multi meters, hi-pot testers, and AC & DC power supplies.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and customers in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, small company environment.
  • Dexterity to handle small components and tools.
  • Have adequate sight, hearing, and use of limbs to distinguish proper products identification.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments including both office/desk as well as the shop floor.
  • Team player.
  • Positive attitude.
  • A strong sense of urgency.
  • Must be highly responsible and self-motivated not requiring frequent guidance.
  • Computer skills; excel, word, etc.
  • Experience with electronic control circuit design.
  • Knowledge of low and medium voltage power circuits and design.
  • Ensure all test equipment is calibrated and up to date.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs all required aspects of product design and production.
  • Creates; Job specifications, Schematics, Bill of Materials, Assembly drawings, etc.
  • Performs; quality control , inspection, and power testing procedures.
  • Engages in various phases of shop operation.
  • Performs other miscellaneous engineering/technical jobs as needed.
  • Communicates with others to organize / prioritize job completion.
  • Works within Company's guidelines and policies.
