I have learned a lot about the business side of things and as an engineer it is good to keep these things in mind on projects.

I wish there were some more direct projects but seeing as how I was part of the productivity and compliance team it put me a little removed from the plant level.

Some of the stuff in college you so you very much need to show up to a job ready to learn and be trained.

Get yourself out there to try new challenging projects. I had never had a communications internship before so I was learning as I went and it was very enriching.

I liked that all the engineers are willing to reach me what to do since they have so much more experience than me. They not only teach me, but they allow me to work independently so that I can learn in my own as well. I have learned many new skills since working at this internship.

Learned using AutoCAD and electrical hardware design, built safety circuits, and played a role in marking-up electrical drawings as well as assisting engineers in modular build for new projects

I wish on the first 3 weeks of the internship that I had direct mentorship regarding specific tasks I need to do

Always ask people around you, never assume things have been done, go back and check the work of someone else’s
