I loved the experience! Working with classification officers, interacting with inmates of all criminal levels and exploring the jail was very cool. The officers were beyond helpful and nice. Picking my own hours and days to intern was nice too.
What I wish was different
I wish I was able to get paid, but other than that it was great
Advice
always be aware of your surrounding and do not be scared, think of it as a cool experience and there are plenty of people around you at a times so you will not get hurt

What I liked
Being able to go out into the field and collect data. Analyzing GIS data and learning how to advance my skills in ArcMap.
What I wish was different
More safety procedures when it came to working in field. More communication in the office to help with the organization.
Advice
Be prepared to be able to work ArcMap on your own.
