What I liked
Loved our contacts in Madrid. The Williams family was an absolute joy to work with. Also, each intern lived with a host family, and I grew to love my host family very much, and miss them often!
What I wish was different
I wish this trip hadn’t been closed. My school is unwilling to work with our contact in Madrid next year, so I won’t be able to return. I would have loved to work with the team in Spain again.
Advice
This trip is what you make it. My Spanish progressed SO much here; however, some students’ levels changed only slightly. Some students did not adapt themselves to fit the trip, and struggled to assimilate. So I would say, be ready to say “yes” to anything!
