Internal Audit Intern
June - October 2019 • Mayfield Hts, OH
What I liked
What I wish was different
During my time at the company, the internal audit intern serves more as a data analytics intern. With that being said, this intern will report directly to the data analytics manager in the internal audit department. I wish that I would have been more exposed to the work that the field auditors do, as there is currently not an entry-level role for data analytics.

Application Engineering Co-op
January - August 2019 • Washington, MO
What I liked
I really enjoyed working with a variety of engineers while on the Applications team, I definitely learned a lot about many different aspects of engineering I hadn't learned about in school yet. I also liked that my co-op was so close to where I lived.
What I wish was different
I only wish I had asked more questions sooner. Everyone was always very kind and eager to help me whenever I was in need.
Advice
I would advise to try to make as many connections as possible while on co-op or internship. These interactions may lead to a future job position in the future.

Material Engineer co-op
January - October 2019 • Syracuse, IN
What I liked
I liked the environment and the people I worked with. Everyone was willing to help inside or outside of work. This made being away from home and other people a lot easier than it would have been if I had not been shown the kindness I was. Whether it be a car not starting or just needing a ride somewhere there was never an issue to find someone to help.

Assembly
May - August 2019 • Otsego, MI
What I liked
I enjoyed the consistent hours and the face paced environment. I also enjoyed that our breaks were paid.
What I wish was different
There was a high amount of gossip/drama amongst the other employees that occasionally make it a stressful environment to work in, especially as I was only summer college help and had no interest in their drama.
Advice
This was a good opportunity to work full time and make some money. If you do this job, do it well and be responsible. Don’t get involved in drama and be kind to everyone. Also, have fun outside of work, it’s easy to let a full time factory job take over your life.

Process Engineer Intern

I work at a manufacturing plant, so I have a desk and will do work on the computer, but there are physical things that need doing in the plant so I can get up and walk around and talk to operators as well.
What I wish was different
I would like to work in more areas of the plant.
Advice
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and not just ask your boss. Everyone is there because they know something about something. Speak up if you aren’t sure how to complete a task.
