What I liked

My summer job at the Motz Group was an amazing experience. It’s a great way for college students to get “boots on the ground” experience for something different. Especially for students going into the construction field but if you have work ethic and want to make a lot of money over the summer then I’d recommend The Motz Group for everyone. I had the opportunity to work on all types of projects from K-12 all of the way up to NFL level projects. The experience, the relationships, the memories is second to none. No matter what field of work or schooling you’re in, The Motz Group has a place for you.

What I wish was different

Better benefits for summer help.

Advice

Drink plenty of water and make the most of it with your crew.

What I liked

I believe that doing some sort of physical labor type work in a lifetime in a need to understand what it's like. I believe that was the value I got out of it, as well as knowing it wasn't for me.

What I wish was different

Honestly, I could do hard physical labor any time like this, however, I wasn't satisfied with the co-worker environment that I had been surrounded by. It does tend to bring out (from what I saw) a less cooperative mindset unless paired with someone you liked a lot.

Advice

A few tips of advice. [1] If you're looking for cash, this isn't a bad spot to go but keep your options open. [2] This is difficult physical labor, if you're not conditioned to put weight on your body, don't try it. [3] I feel like college frat boys would like this place a lot. [4] The employees that are there not on internship are typically pretty nice people, talk to them more than the other interns. [5] Don't complain if you want to be someone others like being around.
