Overview:
Newsreel is launching a low-lift, high-impact ambassador program for students who want to improve news literacy on campus and get real startup experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Email or meet with professors, librarians, or deans to introduce Newsreel at your school or schools nearby.
- If your outreach leads to a department or school adopting Newsreel, you earn a commission.
- Promote Newsreel among peers—e.g., share with friends, post on social, mention in clubs.
- Participate in optional resume-building opportunities like tabling, student org collaborations, or surveys.
What You Get:
- Startup experience with a fast-growing media literacy company.
- Commission for successful institutional adoptions.
- Chance to shape how students engage with news.
You’re a fit if you:
- Are interested in journalism, civics, and/or media literacy.
- Can send a few thoughtful emails to school faculty and administration over the summer, beginning in July.
- Want to make a difference in how people get informed.
Compensation: This is an unpaid ambassador role with commission opportunities.
