
Collections Internship, Fall 2025
The Fall 2025 Collections intern will gain valuable experience working with the collections database, TMS, to improve specific object catalog records– as well as particular fields– across all records, with the goal of improving findability, consistency, and online display. In addition, they will work with Museum DBA on TMS report development through adding information to TMS for testing purposes; work with loaders that are used to add media/objects to TMS; and work with the Exhibitions Registrars to help with planning for exhibitions and assisting with install and deinstall as necessary. The intern in this role will learn how to update database records in accord to institutional standards and gain insight into how the types of database records work together and can be used to better support documentation, internal processes, decision making, and online access. This position requires a candidate with excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and holistic thinking. Candidates should be able to effectively work on their own and multitask. This position is fully on-site.
