Project Manager
We are hiring a Project Manager in our Planning and Economic Development Department!
This position will assist with day to day functions of the City’s business support group on the economic development team. This position will engage with businesses and external partners to understand their needs and challenges while also supporting existing City programs and efforts related to businesses in the City of Saint Paul. This role will work closely with senior project managers and planners in PED as well as other departments in the City.
Here's what you can expect to do:
- Business outreach including coordination with external partners on ongoing outreach efforts
- Management of City’s business intake and welcome process
- Coordinate across City departments on items related to business development, attraction, and support
- Assistance with data management and analysis on business trends and feedback
- General project management and support
- Support of the City’s business navigation and support work

Position Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, or a closely-related field.
Four years of vacancy related experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Vacancy-related experience includes experience in professional experience coordinating, promoting, facilitating, and preparing proposals and loans for industrial, commercial, housing, and real estate projects.
Some positions in this class may require reading, writing, and speaking fluently in a language other than English.
