Electrician

JOB SUMMARY:  

Under limited supervision, the Electrician is responsible for the skilled installation, servicing, repairing and replacing of electrical components, equipment, and systems such as but not limited to parts in motors, generators, pumps, telemetry equipment, breaker panels, controllers, switches, equipment and facilities. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all electrical systems of district facilities. 

2. Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical systems including indoor and outdoor lighting for parking lots, buildings, and athletic fields according to specifications and electrical codes. 

3. Performs a variety of skilled electrical task involving troubleshooting, identifying and resolving electrical malfunction. 

4. Follows safe work procedures by making proper use of signs, safety equipment, scaffolds, ladders, and safety barriers.
