
2026 Capital Markets Summer Intern - Working Capital Finance
Our Working Capital Finance (WCF) team
U.S. Bank helps clients raise capital and liquidity efficiently and effectively with the support of Working Capital Finance (WCF). Our team consists of over fifty professionals in various capacities specializing in Asset Based Finance, Trade & Working Capital and Standby Letters of Credit. Our program will help you develop a solid foundation in credit and financial markets all while focusing on providing client solutions to new and existing corporate clients.
What you’ll do
Our 10-week paid internship will provide you with a solid foundation for you to launch your financial services career while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment. You will receive accelerated learning and skill development through a mix of on-the-job training, mentorship, a community of peers and advisors, and a pathway to our full-time Capital Markets Development Program upon graduation.
As a Working Capital Finance Intern, you will:
Create transaction and pitchbook materials, including lender presentations, information memorandums, and comparable transaction analyses
Help conduct analysis of companies’ financial statements
Research and identify key terms and conditions of recent loan market transactions
Help solve customer problems through discovery, analysis and prioritization for our product roadmap
Build proficiency in trade and working capital strategies, working with cross functional teams through deal origination, execution, implementation and program management
Develop technical and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives
Build a supportive community of peers through a variety of cohort strengthening activities such as social events, development workshops, and catered insight to support your transition from college to the workforce

We’re looking for intellectually curious and creative thinkers who can exhibit quick judgement, demonstrate agility, and thoughtfully react to dynamic environments.
Basic qualifications:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, or a related field with a target graduation of December 2026 or Spring 2027
Ability to start the internship program on June 1, 2026
Preferred qualifications:
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Demonstrates an interest in capital markets
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Understanding of product management and/or agile ways of working
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
Self-motivated with a keen desire to learn and contribute within a dynamic team environment
Well-developed analytical skills
Intellectual curiosity
Attention to detail

Working model and hours:
This role is hybrid. Interns who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days. Interns work approximately 40-hours each week during the internship.
