Who We Are:
The Knox Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center that provides primary care, behavioral health, dental, and enabling services in a team-based model.
Position Summary:
As the Director of Quality and Risk Management, you will lead all quality assurance, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives at KCHC. You will ensure compliance with HRSA regulations and manage claims and risk-related processes. This role includes facilitating the Peer Review process, monitoring performance data, supporting leadership with reports and analysis, and ensuring that all quality and risk activities align with federal grant and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Quality Management Plan and Risk Management Plan
- Identify, track, and analyze potential and actual claims, lead root cause analyses and corrective action planning
- Coordinate and lead monthly Quality and Risk Management meetings; provide regular reports to leadership and the Governance Board
- Serve as Claims Manager, managing claims documentation, investigations, and communications with legal and regulatory entities
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality, risk management, and claims prevention
- Lead Peer Review activities and integrate findings into staff performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with HRSA guidelines and federal reporting requirements (e.g., FTCA, UDS, SAC, BPR)
- Support policy writing, grant writing, and data reporting; contribute to strategic planning and workforce development
- Monitor patient safety concerns, facility risks, and implement tools to track and improve quality outcomes
- Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and CEO
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree required with relevant experience in healthcare quality and risk management
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
